Delivery Methods
Learn about Transport Solutions, Freight Products and how they are related. This page describes what they are, and how to chose the correct solution for your shipping needs.
Overview
Helthjem doorstep delivery does not cover 100% of addresses in Norway. We have a system of automatic fallbacks so that we can deliver 100% of the packages, one way or another. Your integration changes significantly based on which Transport Solution you chose. We have a collection of transport solutions to fit a variety of needs. These transport solutions generally fit into 3 groups; Business to Consumer (B2C), Consumer to Consumer (C2C) and Returns (C2B).
Transport solutions
Each Transport Solution contains one or more Freight Products that define how the parcel will be delivered. Depending on coverage and other variables like weight and size, packages will fall-back to the next available Freight Product if the primary option fails.
-
A Freight Product (FP) is what gets used for the actual delivery.
-
A Transport Solution (TS) contains Freight Products and is used to make a booking.
Stand-alone vs fallback transport solutions
Fall-back solution
To enable maximum coverage for a consumer, Helthjem handles all fallback automatically and will change delivery method if the previous method is not possible.
Stand-alone solution
To enable maximum customizability for consumer checkout experience, you can use a stand-alone transport solution in conjunction with a coverage check to present the delivery options depending on the address.
